The two years that I have spent in the Full-Time Training in Anaheim (FTTA) have been the best two years of my life. In my experience here, God has become more real to me than He ever was before. I love the Lord Jesus more than I ever have in my entire life. And my desire in life has changed from wanting the “good” life while still being a “good” Christian to wanting to give my life wholly for the Lord and His purpose.

One of the top experiences for me in the training has been learning to spend time with the Lord. In my experience as a Christian before coming to the training, I would pray to the Lord in a personal way as often as I remembered to, but the Lord never really built up a habit in me to spend time with Him in a regular way every day. In the training, as part of my schedule, I have almost half an hour every day just to be alone to open to the Lord and His Word, and have been encouraged every week to have a long time just to spend to pray with the Lord and to be in His presence. These times with the Lord have changed the course of my entire life. Through spending time with Him, I learned to stop trying to do so much and be so much, but just to love Him, let Him speak to me, and let Him shine through me, and gently minister Himself into me. Through the training I have learned that spending time with the Lord is essential to my Christian life. I cannot live without spending time alone with the Lord daily in a personal, intimate way.

My experience in the training also has taken away many of my selfish goals and desires and plans, and God has replaced them with Himself. I came into this training wanting so many things, having a bright future in the world, and looking forward to a good life. Now, by faith, I just want God. Big houses, the best jobs, or millions of dollars will never make me happy. The only thing that makes me happy is God, and God is the only thing that I want.

Our entire life is a quest to know this Person who lives in us. The training has helped me to see a little more of who He really is. And the more I see of Him, the more I love Him. Thank the Lord for His wonderful person, and thank the Lord for the Full-Time Training.
